What motivated you to start trading forex, and how did you take the first steps into the market?

I got into forex trading out of curiosity about how global markets work and the potential for financial freedom. I started by learning through books and videos, then practiced on a demo account before going live. It was all about building knowledge and confidence step by step. What really motivated me was the potential to build financial independence.

Can you share a pivotal moment in your trading career that shaped your approach today?

One pivotal moment was a big loss early on due to overleveraging. It taught me the importance of risk management and emotional control. Since then, I’ve focused more on discipline and long-term consistency rather than chasing quick profits.

What’s the biggest misconception new traders have about forex trading?

One of the biggest misconceptions new traders have about forex trading is thinking it's a quick and easy way to get rich. Many underestimate the discipline, risk management, and emotional control it requires. They often focus too much on profits and not enough on building a solid strategy and learning from losses.

How do you stay grounded during periods of extreme market volatility?

Stick to the plan: I always trade with a clear strategy and risk management rules and I always followed the news and avoided it at high volume.

Have you ever faced a moment when you thought about quitting trading? How did you overcome it?

In my early days in forex, I thought about this every day, and a very thin thread separated me from leaving forex. But I never gave up and now I thank myself for that.

If you could go back and warn yourself about one critical trading mistake, what would it be?

If I could go back, I’d warn myself about overtrading — thinking more trades meant more profit and I would be more patient.

Do you think the prop firm model will remain sustainable in the long run, or is it evolving into something new?

To tell you the truth, the moment My Forex Funds shut down, that’s when the crisis in prop firms really began. At that moment, I honestly thought it was the end of this industry. But over time, when some firms entered the space with a broker backed, the game truly changed. Now, I actually trust broker-backed firms much more than some of the others that have been around for a while—many of which turned out to be scammers. In the past, I’ve had to deal with scams myself—firms that stole my money and disappeared. Those were some of the worst moments of my life, and that’s when I really started to lose trust in prop firms.

In your opinion, how has the forex industry evolved, and where is it heading?

I think it has evolved a lot, especially in technology, and it has become even easier to have access. I believe it’s heading towards more automation, regulation, and transparency, with a stronger focus on trader education and data-driven strategies.

What’s the harshest reality about trading that no one talks about?

Trading can bring big profits, but most people don't talk about the emotional and financial toll of losses, stress, and the sense of isolation that come with it.

What’s the most significant risk you’ve ever taken in trading, and how did it play out?

In the beginning, I always took big risks because I thought I would get rich very quickly, which was a mistake. With time and experience, I’ve realized that taking big risks leads to more losses, and now I try to protect myself from excessive risk exposure. Sometimes, when I see an A+ setup, I might take more risk, but that doesn’t mean I’m 100% sure that I will win.

If you could share one overlooked piece of advice for traders aiming for long-term success, what would it be?

Forex is a marathon, so simply Focus on consistency, not quick profits.

How has how your journey with ATFunded has been so far?

My journey with ATfunded has been very unique and special. From the moment it was launched, I didn’t hesitate and bought my first 200k account, which I unfortunately failed. Then I tried again, and today I am funded with this company. I don’t know what made me trust this company from day one, maybe sometimes God gives you a signal within yourself that simply tells you to take the leap and try. Today, I am very happy to be a part of this company. So far, I have received 2 payouts, and they were extremely fast. Perhaps this is something very important for a trader – receiving payouts quickly and without any justification. It’s just amazing, and of course, always respect to the company’s rules. One thing I can tell you: if you join us (I say "us" because I feel like I'm part of the family here), and you will never be disappointed.
