ATFunded continues to push forward with innovation, and today, we are proud to announce the deployment of our Taurus system.
Taurus is an engine-based trading system designed to eliminate part of the conflict of interest that traditionally exists in Prop firms and provide sustainability and longevity to the Prop firm operation.
How does it work?
When a trader meets the funded stage of the ATFunded challenges, they will be routed according to a data profile automatically generated by our modelled systems.
When this happens, a piece of your funded trade will be copied to the ATFunded Margin accounts and sent to the market. Traders on the funded stage who open trades will have their entry/exit price determined by our vast network of liquidity providers on a first-come first-serve, top of the book plus depth of market basis.
With Taurus active, we can assure that all applicable Funded traders have prices that replicate what the real market is providing because we have executed a trade from that signal in the market.
Does this mean I am trading real money?
You are still part of a simulated environment. ATFunded is merely taking your signal and executing a piece of it in the market and producing real market execution for that trade. With this in place, if you are profitable, your strategy does have real edge that can be profitable long term in the market.
How much of my trade will be executed?
Anywhere from 10% to 100% of your trade will be taken as a signal and executed in the market. We don’t disclose exact percentages per customer to protect both our system and our traders from competitive replication.
Are there any exceptions?
Yes, 5k 2-phase accounts and 10k Pro accounts will not be a part of the Taurus system. This is because the trade size on these accounts typically cannot be fractioned out for some products, and based on current data, these are the lowest performing accounts in the funded stage.
Why does this matter for me, the trader?
The prop firm industry is plagued by a conflict of interest where fees are solely used (in most instances, but not all) to cover payouts. If the revenue does not match or beat the payouts, the customers are at risk of denials or complete bankruptcy of the prop firm they have chosen. Having systems like Taurus allows the Prop firm to continue to operate even if the payouts are at 100% of the front-end revenue, as it allows the company to use the market to claw some of it back.
Taurus does not make 100% of the payouts because some funded traders lose; however, it gives the breathing space for the Prop to operate calmly and with the best intentions, alleviating a portion of the conflict of interest. Additionally, it exposes your strategy to the real market, giving you peace of mind that if you choose to trade at a brokerage firm, you should get similar results.
Simulated market conditions are typically better than the market, and if a trader’s goal is to be a professional trader, they must have real market exposure so that their strategy can be scaled over time.
What does ATFunded have coming next?
We are in the final stages of launching Daedalus, a system designed to complement Taurus and further close the conflict-of-interest gap in the prop firm industry. Over the past months, our focus has been on building the strongest possible foundation, and with these systems nearly complete, ATFunded is now ready to step forward with greater visibility.
Expect to see us expanding our presence in the marketplace as we continue breaking barriers and pushing innovation, always with the goal of giving traders a fairer, more sustainable path to long-term success.
